yes I do agree that the fertilizer is bad for the chams...that would be the reason that you would have two plants. or perhaps finding a more natural plant feed. (fish emulsion?) not sure...or some thing like plant food sticks

A nice plant and a drip system may also help to keep them hydrated for a while.

this set up that I had would last for about 24 hours fully filled and tuned to 1 drop every 3 sec.
HOpe that helps

welcome and hope that we can help.
Your UVB source is coming from one of those curly bulbs? Compact flourecents have been linked to many eye problems...the sooner you can get your cham into a screened cage and use one of those linear flourecents the better. Not to mention you won't have to...
Has the plant ever been fed fetilizer....some kind plant food may help too. You may need to keep two plants on for in the viv and one that you just keep on the side. rotate them and while one is in the viv you can feed and water the other. Plants unlike chams may do well with light through a...
I use them also without problems SO FAR.
But I would think that as they get older, the plastic will get more brittle and have a greater potential to become a problem. That being said perhaps fake plants are a viable alternative, but still should be monitored carefully.
Hope that helps

Anything natural will require more eventual care at some point in time. Synthetics will be easier to care for. but I think wood looks nicer.
If you do choose to go with wood, make sure it is sealed well. Especially with formica that is backed with press board. I would actually recommend...
If you punch a hole (preferably drill) in the side of a plastic container the same size as aquarium air line, insert airline (enough to curl it around the bottom). Then place a restrictor on the end you have a easily made drip system.
I'll try to post a pict later.
Hope that helps

Crickets may still bite you cham regardless of having a food source. Not only that, but it is enought to have to pick up your Chams poo, not to mention the mess that a Cricket will make too.
How old is your cham, and how often do you feed and how many?
hope this helps.

Adding the plexiglass should help. You may not have to run it all the entire height of the viv.
Other things that you can do; Mist for longer periods or more often. If most of you plants (leaf and branch coverage) are at the bottom get something taller.
What does you set up look like...
How long do you wait before feeding your cham. In other word do you feed him daily or every other?
also how big is you cham and how big are the dubai...?

they were both in their new vivs for about 3 weeks.
Rather than mess around too much and create problems I switched them back to their old set ups....Problem solved...everyone was really happy after that..
Do you guys think that as a rule. Males require more area to roam than females...
Are there any environmental things going on...I just got my chams off a food and water strike by changing their viv's around. I had my male in a smaller cage and move him to the larger cage. As soon as I did that he perked right up and started to eat and drink....
Have you tried flies and...
Just in case I had asked the same question a couple of months ago on the forum...
here is the thread.

I have been feeding my chams these spiders for a couple of months now without any ill effects. It is nice change of pace for the chams when they see these guys running around the cage.
Hope that helps
