i havent really read through this whole thread but i am from long beach so i know your pain with keeping the humidity up haha, i came across another thread and this was a really good humidifier that isnt too pricey, the kid is kinda weird in the video but he has a great idea...
it looks like thumbtacks were used on the outside of the cage goin into the dowels. I seen ppl use that tactic in other set ups as well and i have heard no complaints:)
thanks Froggie & Cstorm both great ideas they are really starting to get the creative juices flowing i like your drainage system froggie it looks simple and easy to clean :)
Thank you for you ideas :) I like the ikea tables a lot they look great, I do have an Ikea a few minutes down the freeway what is the name or item number of those tables so I know what to look for?
I need to build a stand or small table to fit a 2X2X4. I was thinking just a basic sheet of plywood with 4 legs with some stabilizing beams, maybe even make a shelf on the bottom to put all my sups? :) anyway if anyone has a DIY that they have, if you could throw some pics up for some...
Really clean set up I like how the whole cage is filled nicely, yet it's not cluttered. :) I had a question about your feeder cup , does it hold crickets well ?
Just an idea if, I'm not sure of how your set up is but maybe get a hanging pothos and drip on that, keep the ficus dry other than mistings. The pothos will keep good humidity and pools of water and it'll keep your ficus drier :)
Beautiful cham :) and it seems like your sups , gut loading and enclosure is on point. You should throw some pics up when you get her in the new enclosure :D
no problem I love Jackson's myself and I am really debating on getting one they are awesome looking chams! I have also read that they tend to be friendlier :)
Jackson's definitely require more humidity due to the fact that they are naturally from higher elevations, Tanzania... They are not as "hardy" either as they are more sensitive to supplements. You are right about the lower temps though.
You should check this Jackson's vid out cause I think you...
I have read on here of people just removing the hind legs but I have never heard of this tactic I am gonna try it if I find myself dealin with adventurous crickets
You can get a reptifogger from any big store petco , amazon, etc.
also you can get a pothos in there they hold water really well that should bump up your humidity a little bit :)
Good lookin set up but what lulu said I don't see a UVB light or a hydration system so I'm guessing you just use a spray bottle. Very clean looking though i like how you used the whole enclosure
