I just buy a Dry Cricket Feed and Water Jelly and leave it in the Cricket bin and have it available for the crickets all the time. I think your taking the 6-8 hours prior too literally. I think those instructions just mean to make sure your crickets have had the chance to feed on the Gutload. :)

Thanks! Nitro is eating full grown crickets, Superworms, and Quarter sized Dubia Roaches now. He's going to be a monster!!! I need to order some Hornworms too. :)
