Supposedly them jumping like that is a defense mechanism. From what I have read they are capable of taking quite a fall.

After looking at a few posts about enclosures, I saw a lot of people using wooden dowels. I put one in late last night and this morning hes doing laps around his cage. Hes constantly on it. Gonna throw a few more in.

Congrats and nice cage, I am just surprised no one has suggested removing the substrate from the bottom of the cage. I know thats normally frowned upon in a chameleon cage. I know I have seen more than one cham eat dirt from a planter until I covered it with rocks.

I have only seen him drink a little, but his urate is all white.

The plants are a decent sized pothos and a small umbrella tree. For uvb I have a reptisun 5.0 and a 40 watt light bulb for basking. He actually basks a lot during the day. His basking spot is around 82 degrees.
