    Chameleons are not the most energetic. Unless you put a female infront of a male or some really yummy bugs! I wouldnt worry about your guy hanging out:) in the same spot. just make sure he is eating and at the proper temp and humidity!

    Ficus?

    Hibiscus or umbrella trees are great if you cant get a ficus. Just make sure you have good lighting for plants as well as chams.

    In the mean time keeping misting the cage. I would set the fogger on a timer abd adjust accordingly depending on humidity levels
