Very few of us use substrate because it ends up being more work. It can mold from constant spraying and high humidity. it ends up having a musty oder and I worry about accidental consuption but some people use it and in the wild they definitly have it! welcome to the forum!
His droppings are a source of pride! haha thats awsome! Some times you can over feed a cham and it is something to be aware of. I too often feed probably more than I should
The cage definitly looks cool, I just think it make take away from how bright you see the chameleon. I mean my chams look so bright on a green tree or branch, he probably wont look as shockingly bright in an enclosure with such intense colors, but it does look cool.
