Montanes have been givin a bad rap because most are/were WC. Acclimating them is difficult and alot of beginners had terrible experiences with these.
CB/CBB are much easier to care for and many would make a great first time or 2nd cham. to have. Just do your research, as with any cham., and...
Panther and Veilds are just more available.....easier to learn all the "nuances" of cham keeping and they are very colorful.
The montanes, as above poster put, require a "softer touch", but once learned and you get into the habit of taking care of them(changing your schedule in life..:rolleyes:)...
Yes and no.....kinda like Jackson's and Hoes......depends on the individuals.
I was only able to keep 1 male/female together or that female and another female in the same cage....but the other female didnt like the male........
Also, gotta think about breeding.....you should have another cage...

Sternfeldi are a cool little cham. My males were always more shy then the females.
Give lots of water and a good basking spot, they are a montane, but love to bask.....mine would still be basking outside with temps reaching 90degs....
Alot of chams wont drink in front you....my K.multi girl would never drink when I was misting...but I caught her when she thought I went back inside....she was just shy about it......as long as they arent showing the signs...sunken eyes and general withering away....and fecal is the right...
