It could be. But it also looks like those "European Mitsio" that are green/red, which I am doubting though. Don't usually see quite the coloration as this guy as a pure Ambilobe.
Unfortunately no one can say with 100% certainty what he is, other than the breeder.
If you are questioning what he was sold as, not much you can do at this point.
A lot of panther's can be crosses and still look like a pure locale.
What was he sold as?
Agreed with the above, except they can hatch at much more varying rates than a few days, even from the same clutch.
I have had clutches take 3 weeks for all of them to hatch and have read of months in between hatchings.
The dates he gave are just estimations. Good luck with the babies...
Agree with zlew. Males amd females should never be kept together. Especially with that size difference. Do them a favor now and get them their own enclosures.
Unfortunately no one but the breeder can tell you his locale. He does not look to be ambanja or ambilobe though.
A lot of pet shops buy from hobbyists that don't even know what they have. So he could be a cross of some kind, but can't say for sure.
There is no waiting to be had. It is 100% female, an obvious one at that. If the breeder can't tell then I would be worried about future replacements too.
I agree with the others. You never see anyone being sold a female and getting a male. There is a reason for that.
Good luck and I...
He's a bit too young to tell, but looking more like a blue bar so far to me. If he came from blue bar parents, more than likely he'll be blue bar.
Red bars are more tricky in that you can have a red bar male, paired with a female with red bar parents and still get blue bars.
Looks like a female to me. The picture angle makes the tail base look tricky like it could be male, but I've never seen a male have that color at that size. Very typical female coloration.
If you can provide another pic it would confirm.
He looks very nice, but unless you have sire information from a breeder no one can tell you what locale you have.
It might look like a certain locale, but you can't be for certain.
You can try contacting who you got him from, but if it's from a petshop I honestly would not trust what they...
