chameleons that hate
I have had five male and two female vieled chams and never ever had trouble with handling them. that being said, I have never had the opporotunity to handle a panther. They all seem to like wax worms, a lot. you may gain some trust with a few of those puppies, and easy to...
I understand they are pretty fatty, hes no fatty tho, he rips around his enclosure most of the day, and he is not getting as fat as you would think, a cham that I had years oga never touched a wax worm and he was about tha same size at the same age as hector. I monitor his intake and I think he...
mo on flakes
I did just read something about fish flake food being high in animal fat protiens and not a good feeder. mabey I wont give it to hector anymore.
plant
hope Im doing this quote thingy right. slik, that devils plant I have some that are huge, and would work well but Im told that plants with white veins like that are toxic. guess I could google that. thoughts?
cage action
some nice enclosures there guys.
Slik, nice looking foliage in your cage plenty of great hiding places I bet.
ps, beauty grad picture, mother and chameleon must be very proud.
fishy sticks
I will occasionally hand feed my cham a few fish flakes, they are inexpensive healthy and he seems to quite enjoy them. Ill also toss some in with the crickets as part of the gutload.
meal worms/suuper worms
I am not a fan as I am convinced they killed one of my chams, no proof tho. but Hector seems not to like them so much and I think they are hideous so win win. what about other types of bugs such as moths, earth worms, and grasshoppers, are they acceptable dining matter?
my cahm lifts his leg to poop, looks pretty funny, think it's normal or just strange behavior?
also he doesnt mind being sprayed or misted so musc but in 5 months I have only seen him drink once and that was the first week I had him home.
losers
I like how mikeb666 disabled comments. He's a hillbilly chump, that chicken is prolly a housepet too. He's prolly not a member of the forum because you don't come accross many extreme losers here. but if you are a member mikeb666, I hope Satan has his way with you when you get to hell...
enclosure
my cham at 3 months was intro'd to a 6' x 3.5' x 2.5' deep nylon mesh cage.
he is loving it and is getting huge. his lights come on auto at 8 am he poops at ten and then he rips around for a while. an auto mister keeps everything quenched, and he'll eat 8-10 crickets and 6 wax worms...
furnishings
nice looking cage, good call on the bamboo. did you use a wire screen or nylon? As far as artificial plants or vines, meh. I once had a huge fake fig that I had a cham in, and I thought would I be happy in a fake plastic environment? Hibiscus are good and have a six foot fig...
