So i aquired my first chameleon (2m old ambilobe panther) at the last reptile super show in January. When i had him he was just a little grey lizard thingy that was just so damn cute, but no color at all. Although i feel like my boy, Trippy, is lagging on coloring up, i finally see it coming! im...
Nothing jumps out at me. Even in the pics, everything seems to look great. Im not sure to be honest, hopefully someone with better knowledge can chime in.
Post some pics of your cham alone if you can...try to capture his legs and hands clearly
does he not have branches to climb? is it just vines?
Maybe if you post a pic of your enclosure along with your cham.
There is a health form you should fill out to give us a better idea of whats going on.
is he jumping or falling? if hes losing grip and falling it could be signs of MBD. It would help if you posted some pictures if this is the case, specifically of his legs.
Awesome!!! Congrats on such a nice clutch :)
Just out of curiosity, does the "excess" amount of white coloration on there heads make them more susceptible to burns? Can they darken up the white areas, or is there simply no color pigments in there?
Sorry, not to familiar with veileds, let...
Nope! not necessary
I actually read that a member on here has made a complete "Dark-Room" and has even flipped the chameleons schedule to be awake during our night, and asleep during our day (Supposed to help with electricity, and different work schedules)
So today I got a shipment of feeders. When I was going through my Dubia, I found a single albino looking see through roach. Oddly, as I was going through my super worm shipment, I found a super like this as well. I included pics below. Just wanted to know if this is normal? And okay to feed?
awesome looking cham! congrats!
im sure once he settles in hell start bringing those yellows back into his color scheme, i'm sure he's still stressed while acclimating. also, id go ahead and call that red bar ambilobe :)
do you have photos of the dam, as well as the dam's sire anywhere? Im seriously considering holding off on breeding until I get a female from this clutch:p
i got an order of hornworms from mulberry farms come in today! everything was great and the hornworms they gave were perfectly sized. im very happy, and i'm sure my cham will be tomorrow morning as well
80 is too low of a basking temperature. most people go from 85-95 depending on age.
also, you'de be surprised how small a roach can be ;) look up dubia roach feeders..your cham will love them. And believe it or not, so will you. theyre sooo easy to maintain. and don't smell!!!
they're just known to give out A LOT of seemingly defective devices. Mine broke in less than two weeks. I ordered a replacement...broke again. And no, its not just me, there are plenty of reviews online to confirm this issue. Doesn't mean they all go bad, just means its not worth the 60 dollar...
