The most common ones I have seen are Chinese Mantids and European Mantids. I'm sure you can feed any type though, but then again I'm no expert either.

My personal experience with these enclosures is more negative than positive. For me, I like something that is solid and stable. These seemed kind of flimsy. I wasnt able to wedge dowels or branches in between the walls that would be secure enough. I've also heard crickets can chew through...

Where I live it is not so warm either and also very dry. After getting a 100W light and a warm mist humidifier, I have zero problems maintaining proper levels in an all screen enclosure.
