    my frozen crickets are alive!!!

I live in the UK where it's ABSOLUTELY FREEZING at the minute. I found out that crickets seem to "come back to life" after forgetting a box of them I'd just bought in the car overnight. I thought I was going insane so it's reassuring to read this!

    New pics of Cassius!

His tongue is a lot better today thanks! He's shooting fine again so hopefully the problem is sorted. Going to take him for a check up just in case though. :)

    New pics of Cassius!

I mist 4 times a day for 5 minutes and he eats about 3/4 silkworms and a few crickets a day. He's shedding at the minute so hopefully he's gonna fill out a bit!!

Do I need to get him to the vets ASAP?

That's good about the skin, thanks. Also i forgot to mention, when his tongue was hanging out of his mouth it was very red looking (usually it's more purple and black). Again, any help or advice would be great.

    What's he doing??

That explains it! Thanks guys I'll make sure the temps are lowered a bit. He doesn't make any starnge noises or jut out his chin so it's not an aggression thing (we know that side of him very very well - he's a grumpy little guy), the over all temp being too hot would make sense. Yeah we do use...

    What's he doing??

Hi, My cam Cassius has been seen a couple of times lately sitting in his basking spot with his mouth hanging open. Any idea why? He's eating normally and his tongue is in, he just seems to be chilling with his mouth open. Is this normal? Any help is greatly appreciated! Amy :) Cage...

    Another stupid question...

That's great, I have superworms :) Thanks for your help :D

    Another stupid question...

Ok...my problem is I bought some "superworms" from a local pet shop. I thought they were just giant mealworms. I asked the assistant if they stocked superworms. He said "well, we have some super-giants over there" and directed me back to the large mealworm type things. The box only says SG for...

    Another stupid question...

Hi again, Sorry another question that I can't seem to find the answer to online. What is the difference between giant mealworms and superworms and how do I know which one I've bought? They looks like huge mealworms but then so do all the pictures of superworms that I've seen online...

    Crickets in enclosure

Hi, This might be a silly question but when I'm feeding my cham crickets he won't hand feed. I'm worried that when I leave the crickets to roam around the enclosure he's not finding them to eat them. Another problem being there are so many places for them to hide in his viv, I can't...

    New Cham

Sorry about Rocky :( Just out of curiosity where was the breeder that you got your new baby from? I don't know of many in the UK and if I ever get another cham (which won't happen for a while - Cassius is taking up all my time at the minute!) I'd like to get one from a breeder.

Is there any way to tell his age?

I would've loved to raise my chameleon from a baby but as he's my first it probably wouldn't have been the best thing to do. Apparently they are a lot harder to care for? How long have you had your cham?

I'm having the same problem with the temp. The heating bill in my house is going to be HUGE! It's worth it to make my little fella happy though!
