oh my gosh, that is insane! I can't imagine a little chameleon doing that! 5 stiches is quite the accomplishment. You should post a picture of the one that did it to you.
Now I'm really scared to put my hand in the cage.
Another thing to think about.
A really good chameleon breeder will not only be answering questions but also be asking you questions as well. If it were me I would have to know for sure that my little chameleons were going to good homes. So i would imagine that a good breeder would be asking...
I'm pretty sure she is, but I will definatly have to take more notice, her eyes are usually open when we turn off/ then turn on the lights, but definatly looks like she is sleepy. I will have to take an extra look at her when i go to bed to make sure she is sleepin.
My veiled is the opposite. Is always green during the day and turns a mixture of green and almost black while she is sleepin. Should i be worried at all??
i've seen a few pictures/video online, of this little chameleon that sits ontop of your monitor, it swirles its eyes and sticks out its toung every few seconds or so. They are so cute. does any one have one or know where i can get one?
I hope your chameleon gets better, sad to hear it had a nasty fall. Sorry if you take offence to anything these people say, but everyone hear just really cares about chameleons and wants every one of them to live a great life. They are only giving sudgestions to help you, and your chameleon...
So I was curious. I know there are tons of successful breeders on this forum. I know there are lots of people who breed veileds and panthers, but has anyone ever bread some of the more uncommon species like carpets or anything like that?
Could you post pictures? baby chameleons are so cute,
I figured it probably wasn't a great idea, definatly just going to stick with plants. Did anyone see the one with the veiled eating a mouse? could bearly fit it in its mouth,
I was looking around at you tube videos of chameleons and stumbled upon this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=courEwgI7O0
what interested me was instead of plants he has all the artificial stuff in the cage almost made it look like a kids playground.
What does everyone think, good idea or bad?
Wow, you sure do love your animals. I graduated colledge about 4 months ago, was hoping to get another chameleon now that i'm making a bit more money. Too bad my roomate sqrewed me for rent, so thats no longer an option. :(
Oh well one day...
Wow, He sertianly is a stunning guy, not sure if i would be able to commit that kind of money, no matter how much i love them (we people have to survive too). i sure hope he recovers and doesn't have to live blind for the rest of his life.
The best of luck to the both of you!
Hey everyone,
I was looking online trying to find some Panther cham info trying to see how different it is to take care of a panther opposed to a Veiled. Anyways i came a cross a site that said you can feed a panther chameleon newborn/baby mice every couple of weeks for variety. This just...
Just graduated in January from Nortern Alberta Institute of Technology (Canada), I took Computer Systems Technology,
and now am trying to adjust to life at a desk
We bought our chameleon from a pet store, not knowing any better. We know she is a tough girl becuase she some how survived 6 months in that store before we bought her. Canadain pet stores are unbelievably over priced i have found out. We paid 180$ for our Veiled, too bad i didn't know that...
