    Molded eggs.

They look like eggs with mold on them. Usually fuzzy white mold in my experience. I usually seperate any that start to show the fuzzy mold into another bin and wait for them to deflate before I chuck them.

What in the H3ll is this?

Definately agree. Do your crickets come with black looking beetles as well? These are the larval stage of the beetle. They are used to cut down on cleanings in large cricket breeding facilities. I have never seen them with meal worms but they just might be easier to seperate than with the...

    Feeder Counts?

There was no food in any of my orders of small crickets, just the larger. There was also very little frass or body parts in the cups. They might be canibalistic but for that much of a loss in less that 24 hours would be insane. On a side note, the company that I recieved the order from...

    Feeder Counts?

Tell me about it, with the cold weather and troubles with distributor in the last 2 weeks I've dropped just under $375 on crix for the babies alone. Its not about the money though :). Thankfully they are just at that point where they can manage 1/4's with the exception of 3 or 4.

    Feeder Counts?

    Feeder Counts?

Not many cricket breeders up in the tundra . I have been looking for one close, but most of the websites look so shady I dont really wanna place an order on them. I did order from armstrong after a mixup with the people I had been dealing with. There was definately atleast a 20-30%...

    Feeder Counts?

Sorry to all, but this post is half rant and half question, please bare with the rant because I really want opinions. I have run into a problem as of late with a cricket distributor, who shall remain nameless. It seems as though all my small sized cricket orders are extremely short. So...

    Greenhouses in a Warm Climate?

I have been wanting a greenhouse for my plants and animals for a long time. Up north we have just the opposite problem, keeping them warm in the winter. The best method that I could find for such was a "pit style" greenhouse. These are basically greenhouses dug 6-8 feet into the ground, and...

Plants safe for cats & chameleons

I would think it to be 100% safe to use a mulberry tree in a cham cage, fruit and leaves are edible. I just dont think they will survive indoors. At work we always plant them in a full sun location. Would be really cool if they could be kept indoor. Freerange silkies baby!

    Leon...Is Gone...

Im soo sorry to hear Leon didn't pull through. Its hard loosing the ones that are so close, some are pets, some are much more. We all know Leon was ALOT more. He had a such wonderful life with you, your posts prove that! I hope you can talk Mr. Mangles into doing the deed. His daddy was a...

    Plant light

You can probably also find a really reasonably priced shelf system there. Use the bottom and just one level above the cage. Set the cage in, and hang the lights from the shelf above. Make sure you will have enough room for a basking light still. Or if the cage is close to the ceiling, could...

    Plant light

Usually you can find florescent tubes labeled "grow light" at any big box hardware store. Not sure what you have up there, I have Home Depot and Lowes here. Anyway if you cant find a "grow" bulb, one with a color temp around 6500k will work well. While you are there buy a cheap shop light...

    Veiled Rescue-Severe Skin Issues...

Thank you for the update. That sounds so similar to what my guy had, aside from the fracture. He would shed up to the bump and the spot itself would never shed the skin. As a result you could flake 5-6 layers off of them, eventually it would come to a hard "waxy" core. Every once in a while...

    Fertile Eggs?

In most cases a week or two time will tell if they are good or not. If not they will mold over. If they make it a month chances are better they will hatch. Still eggs can last a heck of a long time have nothing come of them.

    How many eggs?! Guessing

I would leave her be. If she is still down at the bottom there is a reason for it.
