So it's been a few days now and I've kept Remi on the baytril (he has 3 days left on it) and I've been giving him showers, adding 2 tiny drops of cod oil on a feeder (I've done it 3 times in the past week) and I'm still dusting his food with the Repashy cal/vit supplement.. I sent Todd a picture...
Ugh!!! I knew I spoke to soon! His eyelid is back to looking weird again. I'm watching him try to clean it right now and when his eye opens back up you can't see his pupil! This is so frustrating :(
He looks so much better today! Of course I have no idea if its the baytril or liquid vit a that helped. His eye looks normal again and no more gaping. You're definitely right Laurie about the baytril affecting his appetite. He wasn't very hungry this morning. Thanks again for everyone's help :)
The vet thought he might have a uri because he's been gaping a lot. She looked in his mouth and said his saliva looked stringy so she put him on baytril for 10 days. He's only been on it for 3 days so far..
Thank you for all the replies! I read that cod oil was a good source of vit A. Should I start that and quite the liquid vit A? I contacted Todd and asked for his advice. I will definitely raise the lights tomorrow. Does anyone think I should continue with the Baytril?? He still has 6 more days...
Thank you.. I can't really recall if his eye problem was before or after the light change. It definitely started right around the time they were changed. I just measured his closest branch to the uvb and its around 7 inches away. Is that to close? Should I switch the Arcadia out for the zoomed...

Well this makes me feel a little bit better knowing my veiled isn't the only one! I feel like he might not be getting all the nutrients/minerals he needs because he only wants worms. My crickets/roaches are gut loaded with big burger and fresh veggies/fruit but only my panther will eat them. Now...
The longest I've gone without feeding him anything but crickets was almost 2 wks and rather than eating a cricket, he ate half of his Pothos plant so I finally gave in and gave him the worms. Ugh! I'm a worrier too! I wish I could figure this out and fix my husbandry before it affects my other...
I added more rock so he couldn't sneak his tongue in between them. I dust all his food with Repashy Calicium Plus/ multivitamin every feeding. He hates crickets/roaches and will only eat silkies, hornworms, and giant mealworms along with veggies and fruit. As soon as he hit 7 months, his...
