I defintely don't doubt 500 is to many I know that i can keep more than fifty. I Kept 50 3/4 to 1 inch in my small one with no prob when they are climbing up the tubes and what not.
This is a large one it's like the size of a 5 gallon tank.... I keep 60 full grown crickets no problem at all I want to by 1/2 inch crickets in it now.
