I have an 18 inch zoomed 5.0, a beamswork 24 inch led 64x.05 watts, and a 5.0 twist bulb, and a 60 watt incandescent bulb. I also have the setup in a east window. I fertilize with miracle grow at half strength. The middle number on the fertilizer being a high number for blooming plants. My...
We learn something new everyday it seems. I guess I didn't think of it. The sun is on the side in the morning and evening so I didn't think it would matter. But the experts are smarter than me, they have been doing it a lot longer than me. I value they're advice.
We went to the vet right away when it happened. She cleaned it up and said the same thing. Champ has been doing great since then.
Thanks for the advice!
Mine won't drink from misting but loves the dripper. You can build a dripper or buy one at the store pretty cheap. That could help. Make the dripper so it drops on several leafs on it's way down.
I had a problem with humidity until I put live plants in the enclosure.

There are a lot of people who do the same, works great but I don't like the look. I suppose I am a little stuck up but looks are important to me. The main thing is to keep them from ripping toe nails out.
Hey just curious, how much of a drop do you suggest? I don't have one but my brain wants to know. Just nosey I guess. I had a Jackson back in 97 he did real well. Back then I didn't have this site just outdated conflicting info books.

My dude has eaten all but a few of the hibiscus leaves off his tree so I think I will stick with the same reptisun 5.0 for now.
In my head I new zilla was not gonna work, I don't know why I asked. Thanks!
Welcome, fellow veiled keeper!
Read the blog above, very informative info from a very neat cham keeper!
Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need help, there are a lot of great people on here that truly just want to help and do what is best for your new animal.

It's that time of year again, time to replace uv tubes. Last time I used a 5.0 but I was shopping at the mom and pop store I frequent and saw zilla bulbs. They are a lot cheaper. Anyone have experience working with them?
Also I was thinking about stepping up to a higher uv, or do you think...
Hi there,
You need to get rid of the bark, cage should be bare or carpet or paper towels,.
You should remove the fountain, can cause bacteria problems.
You need to read the care sheets about how to gut load and supplement.
