I see the shower will be much better. What about that food supplement ? Should I stress the poor guy out by ramming the syringe down his throat or just concentrate on rehydration.
Just got back from the vet. Did not take him but brought lots pics. They thought rehydration was pertinent at this point as well. They gave me oxbow carnivore care. Two tsp per 1000 grams of body weight. Also a wormer soon as he gets hydrated.
As far as a shower there is a misting system on...

Yesterday I was at my mom and pop store and they got a ficshers in they day before.
This guy was house with two others in a 20 long screen top. He was laying on the bottom eyes closed.
I told them I would buy him and paid lots of money. He is home now in a size large...
Orchids are wonderful in a cham enclosure. Phalaenopsis in the wild don't usually grow straight up. If planted sideways crown rot won't be a problem. Dendrobium phalaenopsis would a great choice and would be very easy to climb.imo
Good morning,
I took your advice and transferred the female into a size large, and bought another size large for the male. I also added more plants to the top of the cages. The cages are side by side and they were getting stress so I put a black partition between the cages. The monsoon runs for...
Thanks for the tips. I own other monsoons and havnt had any problems since they came out with the new ones. I'm pretty happy with the product. I know some of you peoples were but not a single hiccup here.
The chams have separate enclosures they are just in one space saving area. 12x24x48 per...
Hello All;
Long time no see. I purchased from my local store a pair of jacksons. They only would sell by the pair, go figure.
Having one extra reptibreeze on hand and a side panel with damage I made it work.
First I pulled the screen out of the damaged side panel and cut the aluminum down...
I would look into that plastic wood, I think its called azek board or something. You can cut it like real wood and join pieces like real wood. Should last forever as long as there is no phisical damage.

I would not use meal worms either, they are high in Chitten. Did I spell that right? But to answer your question keep meal worms in the fridge untill ready to gutload.

I don't think a spirulina fish food would hurt, but don't think it would be as nutritional as fresh veggies. I would think it would be cost prohibitive as a quality product cost a lot these days. I have also read studies that animal protein was not a god idea for crickets or chams.

Hoping for a miracle, thanks for the support! Champ is a wonderful distraction though I tend to be obsessive when it comes to his care. The picture was taken with my iPhone, mother nature deserves the credit for the rest.

Good morning to you all. Champ my veiled and I just had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful sunrise this morning. He is flattened out under the basking bulb trying to warm up and I am on the couch with the dogs. Champs hibiscus is flowering as well as the Christmas cactus.
The sunrise was...
My cage is pegged at 55%. It goes up to 90+ during mistings. My timer is set for four times a day at 120 seconds.
I think I read somewhere that the yemen cham was considered subtropical and not a dessert animal.

I have a hibiscus tree in my enclosure that gets a lot of water due to the misting system. The soil gets little tiny gnats and newly hatched crickets in it.I believe my guy is shooting at these. I do supplements as recommended by the care sheets and he eats superworms, crickets, dubia, and...
My veiled won't eat his veggies, but insists on eating his hibiscus tree leaves. I've tried hanging different greens in his enclosure, chopping them up and putting them in a bowl, and even hand feeding.
Any suggestions?
Does he really need veggies or are the hibiscus leaves enough...
I find an east window is a cool sun , but the west is a real hot sun. Also my hibiscus fills the cage and then some. So there is plenty of cover from heat,. I have a heat loving veiled though.
