I was thinking about going on a camping trip for a night or two... how long can I leave my chameleon alone without anyone misting/feeding? I don't have a mister, but I wouldn't leave him alone until I purchased one. What would be my best bet, a mistking?
Does anyone have experience...
Mine took a fall from the top of his 2'x2'x4' last week. I was pretty scared when it happened but he is doing just fine.. I wouldn't worry unless she starts acting weird or looks injured.
I started off using mainly crickets, then occasionally giving him a superworm. Now I have some hornworms that I have thrown into the mix...
How often should I be feeding him which insect? He is a Jacksons, about 4/5 inches long. He ate 3 hornworms yesterday (first time he saw one)...
They are about an inch to an inch and a half and my chameleon is about 4/5 inches long, not including his tail, jacksons.
I saw somewhere a sheet that showed you what percentage of your chameleon's diet certain bugs should be, thats kinda what I'm looking for.
I just got a cup of hornworms in the mail and my guy loves them.
How many can I feed him a day and how often should i feed him hornworms? I know I saw something on this site before, maybe on sandrachameleon's blog, but I was just searching and couldn't find it again. If someone could point...
just try to stay on top of picking up the poop when you see it in the cage. Even with fake plants, poop is bound to end up on whatever you put in there.
I noticed that my cage was a bit smelly when a couple of poops were hidden in the dirt on my ficus.. keep the real plants, just take them...
Definitely get a UVB. Most people on this forum tend to recommend the ReptiSun 5.0. What sized cage are you using? I have a 24" linear ReptiSun 5.0 over a 2'x2'x4' cage in a 30" hood.
Just wood. There isn't anything in there that emits fumes. I was just worried about the air quality, etc. I have a fan running nearby the cage to keep air circulating. What do you think I could use to make a room? I really only need to make one wall, the cham is back in a little nook in the...
I got these plants from wal mart, and the tag said "pothos epipremnum aureum".
I just wanted to make sure they were cham safe.. they kinda look like two different plant types. Anyone know for sure?
Honestly, once you get the entire setup together, and get an automated misting system, there isn't a whole lot you have to do except feed it and clean out the cage/empty drainage water. Getting the whole setup together does take time, and if you do that before you get your cham, it will be much...
I just moved here so I will just have to wait and see what the garage is like in the winter time.
Could there be any problem with the air in the garage? I have a fan running nearby his cage for some circulation, but the windows are all closed in there. He has been acting slightly different...
