Also if you're weather is hotter he may not be cool enough to sleep. A lot if reptile keepers having heat issues just now. One of my leopard geckos is scratching to get out every morning (when he's usually asleep!) so he can come cool down under the bed. Just a thought :)
Good stuff :)
It doesn't have to be subcutaneous parasite (the type that live under the skin) there could be internal parasites too. It's good practice to test. I don't know about Canada but there's a service here in the UK that will send you a sample collector in the mail and you can send...
Haha what a little cutie :) my girl fires up at raspberries before she eats them :D not always but most of the time. She also likes to try and fit herself through this gap that is just too small. It's a bit where a bendy vine meets a stick, she's always tring to get through and doofs her casque...
Hi! To me he looks itchy. It could be a skin irritation or that he has some stuck shed on his face. My chameleon did something similar once and she was trying to remove shed.
Houseflies are not a great choice IMO. You don't know what kind of things they've been eating and what kind of...
In a word, no. Care is the same for trans veiled as it is for normal ones. It's just kinda like a morph like different morphs of leopard geckos but the care remains the same as still same species :)
Hi Doug!
You are right in thinking that it's best to have the laying bin in her every day enclosure. I use a 14x14 inch planter and yeah it's huge and heavy!
If there's not going to be room you could always get the largest bin that will fit and plant your plant in the bin as long as...
They've been banned! They were commenting nasty things on a lot of threads and making loads of their own. They appear to be gone now and comments deleted.
Veiled chameleons come from Yemen where there is lots of fruit and edible plants growing. They normally have fruit and veg as part of their diet and I don't really agree that they only want it if thery are not well fed :) veiled a ate just greedy, especially females!
My girl likes...
Hi! My female veiled killed her ficus plant in a matter of months because she was chomping it all the time :) she stopped doing it when I started to offer leafy greens regularly. Things like rocket and romaine and occasionally a bit of curly kale are good for her. They like to drink a lot too so...
Jann :( I saw this morning and I didn't know what to say. My heart is breaking for you and I still don't know what to say.
Sadie was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. She is just a little younger than Teal'c. I can't imagine how you're feeling, I'm totally in shock.
She's in...
Oh Jann :( I was going to wish you happy birthday on the other thread then I saw your link.
I have just seen this! I hope all goes well at the Dr, she's in good hands! I love Sadie and I'm hoping and praying that she will be back to her old self in no time.
Please try to enjoy your...
Carol covered pretty much everything but I want to say your basking temp is way too low for an adult panther. 85 is baby basking temp, he could cope with 95! He looks very poorly, I would go to a good vet ASAP!
I don't use any heat or wet gutload on my mealies, just use Sandra's dry gutload mixed in with the alphalfa they come in. It keeps them alive and they turn to Beatles with no help from me :)
