thanks for the information about the plants guys :) that also brings me to another question, is it ok to use 5.0 lighting on them. i heard it's ok to use used 5.0 bulbs, but what about new ones? will the pygmys get burned when i use the new ones. or should i just go with 2.0. any advice?

don't reptile USA and REPTILES magazine work together. if you go to their website they also recommend the reptile USA. i have been reading them for a while and the other chameleon articles seem ok. maybe its just the writer of the article that's not up to date.
i have a female leopard gecko, a male crocodile skink and red eared slider. i had a bearded dragon a few years ago but i traded it with a breeder for my gecko .
maybe you should consider buying a pygmy. it's cheap, it's less agressive and it doesn't take a lot of space :). but the problem is, they are mostly sold as wild caughts and they could carry parasites. so if you can find a cb pygmy, they can make great pets
