They are regarded as the worse type of UVB bulbs. Many people in would suggest to use Repti-sun 5.0 fluorescent tubes. That's what I use and haven't had any problems, from baby chams to adult chams.

Are they in the soil or the leaves?
If they are in the soil, they are most likely springtails. If they are on the leaves and harming the plant, a diluted amount of neem oil (consult your local garden store) will get rid of them.
