Hello all,
I purchased this beautiful cham from Dez about 7 months ago and boy has he grown. He's absolutely beautiful, tame, never sassy, and is very social for a chameleon. He eats like a champ, drinks like a camel, and looks like a million bucks. He shut finished his shed and is looking...
Yup, plastic bags. I had them on the floor of my truck with the AC blasting too, but on the 2 minute ride home the bags deflated, got condensation inside them somehow, and roasted all the crickets. I called and complained and the owner said it's so hot he saw someone's snake die in a dixie cup...
I have a veiled and a panther, I handle them both daily but as soon as they get dark I put them back. My veiled is about 5 months and my panther is about 2 months, they're both extremeeeely friendly!
Its the worst! But something eve worse then that.... I grabbed 50 crickets yesterday from the reptile shop literally 2 minutes away from my house, and on the drive home every single one of them died from the Florida heat. On a 2 minute drive... it was nuts.
It's good that you took him to the vet, but it showed a lack of maturity that you left an animal in that bad of condition to go have a fun time camping. When you own an animal, its life is pretty much in your hands. I'm not trying to be mean, just realistic, you should have taken care of this...
It made me laugh too, but at least he's interested in how to take proper care of it and I believe he would be an excellent chameleon owner. It's definitely worth taking the leap and getting an actual chameleon if you're "little guy" is fascinated with color change. Congrats on your purchase...
Same, I just grabbed a 13/7 toro, if there's any professionals in here that would appreciate it :D. It looks great among the roors, illadelph, zob, and US tubes.
