I am dusting the feeders as well. He gets calcium dust every day.
Multi vitamen and Calcium with D3 once a month - alhough I read some people (including you) do the vitamin 2 times a month. I see you recommend twice a month - is there any risk. I read some people saying to much vitamen and d3 is...
I would share a picture but...he is annoyingly good at avoiding them. We are at the point now that I stack a bunch of pillows up on sofa next to his cage as a "blind" for me. Then I feed him and pretend to leave the room - turning off all lights except for those in his cage. Then I sneak up and...
I had a panic moment like this once.. Turned out to be a cricket leg. My guy really gets into crunching on his crickets and sometimes a leg gets stuck in the folds of skin around his eye. Freaks me out every time.
jeez - I loose them all the freaking time. And then we have an ant problem when they die. Why do ants love crickets sooo much. We keep our house super clean - cause my husbands anal - so ants showing up - to him - is like a personal faliure. And one min there are no ants then BOOM a ton...and...
wish I could get a picture put he hides the minute he catches me looking at him. We play this hide and seek game every morning. I turn on lights etc and cant find him. I always start to freek out, move stuff around etc and cant find him. Then I will mist the spray after about 10 minutes when...
Am I imaging things or is his color already looking better - more colors etc, since I added UVB and calcium to his diet and started giving him other types of food and gutloading them. He used to be brown all the time or a light green without much variety. I am now getting some great Douglas fir...
I got more dubi roaches, some silk worms and fruit flies. I bought five silk worms just to see if he would eat them. He loves them. I tried feeding him meal worms again and found out why he won't eat them
..they totally fight back. I watched him try to get one several times and it would whip...
I think there is 1 in san francisco, 2 in castro valley and 1 in union city. I called the one in san francisco when I was trying to save a baby garter snake my children found...but they are pricey!
Started cup feeding my Veiled because I saw him eat the other morning and he just sort of let his tongue plop out of his mouth and slowly pull it back in - missing the cricket totally. I totally freaked out.
He is a very private eater and I almost never see him eat. He mostly takes to...
Will get this fixed today.

The fruits and veggies I mentioned where for the crickets.
I didnt think of offering whole fruits and veggies to Pascal - i will try that today. WHAT kind of fruits and veggies...
since removed substrata, cleaning cage, removing water dish and added dusted crickets (not sure how gutloaded they are yet as I understand that takes a few days) he has gotten more active and started behaving like he used to.
UV light - yes thats what I was sold - the blue light. I will go back and get a UV light as well. (I thought he had one)

The black marks look exactly like yours. I just got worried because I noticed suddenly he didnt have them as a baby. I thought maybe he burned himself on the light or something.

Hi,
New here
I have one male veiled chameleon. We have had him in the home since June 2015 after bringing him home from my sons school - where he wasnt doing so well.
They had him from oct - june. He started hissing at everyone and being very stressed out - so now he lives in our living...
I have the exoterra as well and love it.
The small one was a great for the salamanders my sons are always bringing home. I currently house my Veiled Cham in a medium x tall one. Do you think this is acceptable for a veiled?
