ihave him in that mesh cage which ill keep him in for prob till the end of the month but the uv light i have t the top doesnt seem to shine thru alot... being on the stop it should still get thru enough to him right?
Today he act at by himself which is AWESOME after 1 day from being back frm the vet. he went after a worm himself and got it first time. he is taking his meds well... lol sometimes... he doesnt like the force feeding to much :(
i was just curious as to a way i can get him water?
i am using...
the vet said b/c he is under 1 yr that he needs to be lik 12-18 in from the light source and i first had him in a 10 gal enclosure and when i opened it he would SPRINT out so i got a like 48' or 50' one and he loved it but i was told that w/ oe so big and him not big enough id say he is a hand...
no the vet didnt mention anything about his bones just that there was a lack of calcium and that they have not fully developed. But i keep the are between80-90 thats with the 4 lights.. there are shaded areas of course.
i got the pertarium just as a temp till he is better then i will use that...
haha i am sure..
i just get put down easy w/ this b/c i have lost one before when i was young due to a parasite disease- but luckily this was caught in time!
so all should be up hill from here.
another question- the vet said the size of the enclosure i had him in was to big for him...
- $400 total with visit for $78 just to bring him in!
but i'd say if he gets better its all worth it.
- he was dehydrated and may have a parasite problem- so i have to give shots for that and then give him extra calcium my mouth and supplements by mouth also... then the emergency food...
man guy thanks so much... just so happened i went to the pet store and they told me to buy the bulb...so i did...i got home read this and took it right back and got the 5.0 tube!
i got rafiki to eat and take the emergency formula by force feeding but he did it with ease! i hope he gets better...
i am in florida
good news- Rafiki came hoem today :) they said he was pretty bad off however he can get better from where he is now. i have to just give him meds anff force feed him..plus a shot every 3 days!!
and i am going today to get the uvb bulbs and get him fit and health again...
