yeah i dont mind if he is an ambanja or not i am just wondering if there is anyone here who could say if they think he is or not. Judging by the amount of different colour 'ambanjas' there are on a google search i should imagine there isnt a way of telling lol
Hi everone, i just thought i would post a picture of my panther to see if he is an ambanja as this is what i was told when i was sold him and recently i have learned to doubt the shop that i got him from..
He is around 4 months old (i think, once again the shop proved to be useless!) and is...
its not above eye level at the moment (just a bit below) but for the moment half his enclosure is sheilded from view to make up for it (he is soon to be positioned high up). He doesnt spend his time in the sheilded half, he is quite curious. Ill place him higher up and see if that helps, thanks...
his ambient temps are 83 degress and his basking is around 88-90 degrees, humidity is 50-75% (it is mainly around 65%) He is still active, moving around from the basking area to the cooler areas, i would have thought if it was temps he would always be trying to get to the heat? any ideas?
Just wondering, is there a reason why my young ambanja panther cham (almost 100% its a male) goes really dark green with almost black markings on him? Other times bright green bars and red markings come through. I will try and get pics soon.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I have a young ambanja and since i have had him (about a week or so) i have only had plastic plants in his enclosure. Yesterday i bought a Ficus Benjamina 'Natasha' from homebase and i noticed that the soil had fertilisers in it.
Was i right in washing the roots as best i...
yeah i agree that i dont think its a deficiency but i just thought i would ask. Yeah my panther gave me funny looks when i took the paper out of his enclosure like 'excuuuuuse me what do you think your doing?' lol
Thanks
yeah the only sub i had was a few sheets of kitchen paper/roll but i found it un-needed. Thanks for your reply, any ideas if it was just him eating it for the sake of it or a lack of something?
Yet another concern of mine......
I sometimes catch my panther chameleon taking a bite out of the kitchen paper on the bottom of his enclosure and today my girlfriend has caught him with a huge bit in his mouth and it looked like hes struggling with it. She carefully removed the paper and we...
Does anyone have one of these in their enclosure. I went to the shop to buy a weeping fig, ficus benjamina and bought a weeping fig, ficus natasha. I cant seem to find much on the internet but i am just wondering if this is the same plant, different name or is this a different plant?
Pictures...
ok thanks, yeah i just use waxworms as treats for my lizards, mainly to get them some dust supplement in their diet. I have been trying to get silks in my country (england) for ages now and the one site i have ordered them off has been messing me about and still hasnt sent any a week and a half...
yeah i meant the dust that you put on them, i figured that it is not a problem if they walk most of it off, i give them a slightly heavier dusting so that by the time they walk it off they still have some on them, just wanted a little reassurance lol. thanks for your reply, any ideas if this is...
this is a pic of him at the top of his viv, the thick plastic with holes is to prevent too much water hitting the wall behind the viv when im spraying.
would you say he is an ambanja, male and around six months, he is probably around 2.5 inches long (not inc tail)
Also the light looks...
by the way he is a 6 month old male ambanja (according to the reptile shop, ill get a picture) and has had a small burn on the end of his tail that you may have seen in a previous thread. This has now healed really well after being treated with tamodine (iodine) and seems to be doing just fine...
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to see what you guys think of a few concerns i have with my cham...
My main one is supplementing, he is only a young one and i am sure i am not the first person on here to have a young one that doesn't want to eat when people are watching. My problem is it doesnt...
