I had 2 alternatives prepared... how much more prepared can you be.
In tank laying bin with same soil as plants 13 deep
Trash can with 13inchs of sand and a plant/branch
Oversized potted plant in 50/50 soil sand mix inside a covered 18x18x36 enclosure
She just refuses...
I like to have my plants im place then come thru the corner brace with some line and use wire tie thru top screen. I then can place the nozzle at the end of the line where it covers mostly plants and does not simply collect on the screen. So where to place is dependent on your setup.
Have not tried that. Will try today. I wasnt wanting her to go in the main planter..... thats her refusing to use the laying bin. The soil is same as the plant potter its just the privacy i guess sje feels bing in the plant provides and she isnt getting that feeling with the bucket itself.
well she is starting to worry me guess its 1st time jitters here.
She is back up in the pothos dirty as can be and still fat. So when the lights went out I took out the umbrella plant to check it out, and no less than 6 holes were dug today and all of them about 7-8 inches
I gently scooped...
I agree the wedge is worth the $$ the zip not so much imo, I am a believer in using an auto top off switch after my ro/di to keep my reservoir full so I don't worry about it running dry. I do confess though I run my line into the corner thru the wedge but I then run the line out to the middle of...
I am sure this has been asked already but what is your humidity at from the hottest spot to the coolest? What type of hygrometer are you using, dial/digital?
I am just checking to make sure you really have the humidity levels you think you have. He could be drying out since you have been...
yeah a t fitting you can get them at lowes or home depot as well as the hose btw. Unless your enclosure is bigger than 2x2x4 you will only need 1 nozzle. If placed properly it will cover most of the enclosure and not saturate the screens and spray out of the enclosure. But 2 nozzles would be...
I say leave the importation to the experts doing it already, they have done the homework and learned what to do and not to do to help the cham's acclimate.
I would talk with Jim @ Chameleon Co. Just go thru him to get some wc's. I think he told me he only gets the popular locales since they are...
well i think she is digging to China been down at it since 9am digging.
I had to put her back in her enclosure this morning @ lights on. She refused to even touch down into the laying bin enclosure. So I put her back in her normal enclosure because she had started digging there 1st. Sure...
get a small clamp light and put a 6500k cfl in it, just make sure to get one with around 800ish or more lumens. You would be surprised how much that lil light will put out!
Any not going to be able to use a plant light for basking light, the basking is for heat and the plant is for light. The...
I see that, interesting. I see its a recommendation, but what turns a recommendation into a relaxing of the ban?
I bet you see people trying to get deposits in with importers to get themselves on the list to get 1st run at those cham's listed.
Yeah I was talking with Jim earlier in the week, and he is slammed with females and eggs he said. I guess that would be a potential risk when importing, you buy a shipment and you get whats in the shipment be it male/female miss labeled and all various scenarios.
Then what do you do, thin the...
I didnt stop her digging she came up on her own and left the hole open. Thats when i went to work setting up the laying bin enclosure and moved her over.
I guess I just leave her in there till she lays them since she had started to dig in the other enclosure and run everything as normal then...
I would think that the following panthers would be good sellers
Mitso
Sambava
Nosy Be
The ambilobes & ambanjas market is pretty flush with breeders and appears a good amount of interest in nosy faly went on this year so maybe it would be one to breed.
You could add in some ambilobe x...
I am the same, if you have the nozzle directed at plants should be little if any hitting the screen and if your not soaking it down it should dry between mistings. I can't picture how one would have that wet of a screen without nozzle directed at a wall or not enuff plants.
