You will need to coat all of that "wood" inside that enclosure wit ha water based polyurethane. Min-Wax calls theirs polycryllic and its sold at lowes/home depot.
Water based polyurethane is what you need.
Coat all of that wood inside because the humidity will also wreak havoc in there. Trust...
Did you put polyurethane or something over the inside of that enclosure? That wood grained hardboard is not water resistant and it will soak up water and fall apart on you real quick.
Its worth it to pay out for a hot glue gun imo. You will find yourself using it like crazy as a cham owner. I have gone thru over 50 jumbo sized glue sticks over the last 2 months setting up 5 enclosures (2-3 re-arrangements also).
I know hd sells it but the ONE here does not carry it on the store, it's an online order same as my lowes. Thats why i said i would of had to buy online.
I was looking for something like what Hoj mentions but nobody around here carries that. Would had to buy online, and the stuff i got comes 2x4 already so no cutting was needed.
They didn't come frosted, i bought some window frosting spray paint and painted the acrylic before attaching to the enclosure. Its neat stuff, it actually frosts the acrylic so its translucent but just shadows can be seen like real frosted glass.
That may have been me, I hot glued a frosted thin sheet acrylic to the side of each of my enclosures. They all 4 are side by side and can't see into the other enclosure.
if they can see each other then the chance for stress is there, thats why ppl use the barriers. And that small room they would see each other from any corner I suspect.
Doesn't gular edema also cause swelling of the glands just inside the inner legs? I had thought you could tell if the swollen neck was gular by the additional nodes being puffed out under there else it was some other issue. If that is wrong, can some expand and explain?
The glasses could cause issue if they can see reflection in them, they have great eyesight. They do respond to colors indeed, it was recommended to wear earth tones when interacting to achieve a neutral interaction. Think about it a cham see's this big colorful thing coming and alerts predator...
as with anything you get what you put into it. So the more you interact and build that trust/relationship the better chances of the cham being accepting to handling and actually enjoy it.
position cfl grow lights across the top at angles, this will allow penetration past the top foilage and across the screen at an angle. Except for a small portion of the day plants get all of their light from angles.
lets see that pink hair!Let us judge if we run then its the pink... j/k yeah they see in color and colors impact them... hence their changing colors is communication. I guess he figures your not a receptive female. :D
