My chameleon would not eat so I slid a credit card in between his lips and was able to open his mouth this way and it didn't seem to hurt him either.

You can so buy bamboo from Lowes and order some waxed lashing cord online off of Amazon and make a piece yourself. I built my chameleons free range this way. And it would be pretty light weight and you could easily hang it from the ceiling.
