I changed his basking spot as was recommended yesterday. Also ordered a dripper as I am afraid he isnt drinking with just the mister. Hopefully I will see the little guy drink after I install it tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice.

I installed my mist king system and its great. Only thing I didnt realize when putting it in is that it sprays about 2 inches from his basking spot. He really hates the spray and runs like crazy when it goes off. Should I consider patching the hole and moving it to the other side of the...

The tipped cup idea is great. I have only had him for a day so im not too concerned with him eating a ton yet. Saw him eat two this morning so I know he is at least munching. Just nervous with a big cage and litte crickets. Afraid he wont be able to find them or they will die/drown first.

That would be my suggestion as well. More vines or climbing spots around the cage.

I put about 10 crickets in his cage yesterday. Saw him eat 2 but have no idea where the rest of them went. I'm sure a few drowned but have no idea where they went! Probably find them dead under a pot when I clean....

Received him about 30 mins ago from FLChams. He is a male high translucent veiled. Hes adorable! Already settling into his cage, drinking water and has already caught a cricket! I'd say hes doing pretty well.

I am getting my 4 month old veiled chameleon on Tuesday. My 18x18x36 cage is all setup and ready to go. I know he is being free range fed right now but not sure if that's the way I should go with when he arrives. Should I just try dropping a few crickets in his setup and see what happens?

I just found out that my chameleon is coming tomorrow but my mistking setup wont be here till monday. Is it going to be too stressful for him if I have to set it up after he is in the cage? Dont wanna cause any unnecessary stress on him.
