Hedgehogs are just coming out of Hibernation here in the UK - saw 2 night before last - they're making a really weird noise - almost like a Cham's hissing but deeper. Don't know if they were fighting or what but one was circling the other making that noise :S
Guess you can keep these as pets in...
LOL - yes it was the one day we had last week!!! and probo the last till June!! ;)
I was off shift and saw the sun and run!!! only last about 2-3 hrs though and was only warm when out... we stayed out for about 30mins before back into the cage... we need to wait a few months yet...
IMO Snakes are by far the worse cos sometimes they just don't wanna let go and have lots of teeth! been lucky with my Milk as never handle him for too long due to his sneaky violence, but have been bitten another. It was a medium size Phyhon and nearly brought a tear nearly 30Y/O eyes!
right i've explored some more options - as spent a long time in China so thought i'd look into a few things translated back to english...
started with golden - jin-se-de
Then found that they have their own name for Cham's - Bian-se-long
but would shorten the names down to Jin or Bian or...
i'm slowly getting round this forum - spent not far off 8hrs reading though here last night and have done the same again tonight (working 12hr night shifts and nothing to fix atm :D:D its currently 04:20) plus the many hours before i got him...
anyway back to the subject in hand my latest pics:
Shall i just keep an eye on this for now and as above cut down on the amount of dusting and back to the good 'ol gut loading?
or should i get to the vets and get this checked out as could be something building?
I have my dry mix ready...
Fair enough if this was aobut text speak or the like - but poo!??!?! it is what it is...
you say tomato ...i say tomato senario.
It's not like i go out side and call my car my automobile... and get pissed at those that don't!
Dito - i'm sure i'd seen more footage from this snake too...
anyway it doesn't look huge, huge, yes its a big snake no doubt but they have been seen up to nearly 30 feet (not quite a 10m snake) and this one looks around 6-7Meters to me
The longest, alive snake, i beleive is at the Brooklyn Zoo...
LOL - good names so far...
Yes he is a male.
Band names/artists are cool, but the others are only named that due to me being weird!! for exmaple Woody my snake was named that as there was 1 last bit of newpaper in the bag when i got him and it had a pun on the back "woody does it again" in...
Think we might have a winner in the first post!!
lol kinda fits my interwebnet name too :D
good thinking outside the box there!!
keep em coming though, its going to have to be good to top "Aurum"
i dont quite get the point about bacteria you've mentioned - If i'm spraying water into the tank at the exact same times as when i put fresh water into a bowl is this not the process?? just one gets sprayed onto fake/silk leaves and one is in a bowl? plus the leaves are not cleaned twice daily...
Hi all,
New member and since my first Chameleon dying on me i have held back on naming this one that i've now had over 3mths.
My last one was called Eddy and had some issues when i got him which i knew about and wanted the challenge plus felt sorry for the guy as was the smallest in...
He does get his water changed twice daily when i change the greens over, as i take the eating bowl out every night and back in with fresh every morning, and the water bowl get washed each time.
He seems to like the water bowl and as i only have silk plants in the tank they dont hold the water...
He has a 5 point dripper that's filled daily, he is sprayed twice a day with warm water with lots of leaves for it to settle and drip from and also has a bowl which he reguarly drinks from at the bottom of the tank... is there something I'm missing?
Thanks for the links above - now have a dry...
Yes i did :o
I also feed him other insects other than crickets, but think i will have to change my schedule around a little with the supliments as it does seem that i'm over doing it a little and start with the gut loading again. I'll have a look at the link too.
Thanks for the quick...
Hi...
I currenly have a male born in Oct 08 and doing really well so far but has developed a slightly swolen neck and have now noticed him "yawning" few times a day, I noticed this problem about 2-3 days ago with his neck being slightly larger, he now stresses and hisses when being handled and...
