Its common and normal....my male panther does it all the time. He has calmed down a bit now that he is getting older but he is 'tasting' to see if any other males have been around occupying his territory.

A raven will take a cham. Small birds, reptiles etc are part of their diet. They are not picky. Lucky he warned you something was up! :D Birds are birds....they do what comes naturally and we cant blame them for that. Its never a birds fault for taking a cham. Its just a meal to them...

You are most likely cooking her....you need to get the temps down and get a digital thermometer to get an accurate reading. Those analogue things can and are way off so it maybe hotter than 90 in there especially when its around 90 degrees in Georgia. She is probablly digging in that dirt...
