May sound stupid... if jacksons give live birth, does that mean you don't have to worry about infertile laying? Like other species have infertile clutches, jacksons dont go through this?
I would use a latex paint, color of your choice. I used polyurethane and it took so long to cure I was going crazy waiting- cham can't go in there while the wood still has the polyurethane smell. I did a search after my coats were on and read moderator Brad (I think) recommended latex paint...
Phoenix worms (aka calcium worms or reptiworms). And if he doesn't like them, keep the container, they will eventually pupate and turn into soldier flies.
Oh, and flies are good. You can order house flies or blue bottle flies (which are a little bigger than house flies)
Call a vet in your area and ask. If not, ask if they can refer you to a vet that does reptiles. I've heard these things are pretty serious, post some pictures.
I've noticed that younger chams are generally cheaper. For example, on FL Chams' website, a baby Veiled is $40, a juvi $75, and an adult $250-300. I believe it depends on how much the breeder has spent on raising the cham- you would spend much less raising a cham to 4 months than all the way...
No one wants to mask anything. Those were examples of things that can cause respiratory problems for your cham. I learned that when I first got my cham because I like scented oil smells in my room and have not used any spray or aroma in my room since I read it was bad.
In the OP, it states "a...
If you actually read the post, you should know that it is hookah tobacco. There was no mention of marijuana in this thread. Hookah tobacco does not get you high, nor does it have enough nicotine to be habit-forming. If you want to preach to people, please do it in an anti-hookah forum. We are...
I'm Kaylie, 20, grew up in Clearwater, FL. I'm going to school for Entrepreneurship, I want to own an open art studio with my friend Dave (pictured with me in the Updated pics thread). I've always loved art (specifically ceramics, I'm a 3D person, not too good with 2D) but don't like art classes...
I occasionally smoke hookah so I know what you're talking about (never at home though, at a hookah lounge). I would not do it in the same room as the cham, ever. They are very sensitive to those kind of things, along with air fresheners, scented oils and candles, etc. I wouldn't risk it, the...
Thanks, but that's not my color anymore, it's now just brown (natural blonde). That color was made from accidentally coloring my hair a fire red and covering it with light brown... Too much to keep up with if I have blonde roots coming in
With mine, I screened inside on the door so the front looked better, and outside everywhere else. You don't have extra space on the inside to secure the screen... How would you do the corners? Actually, looking at mine now, I don't see how you'd be able to screen the inside at all, screen would...
I don't think people generally want to give pets they have grown to love away to first time, inexperienced owners. Read up and start fresh with your own :)
Also, once you get your new set up, I would clean and try to return that kit. I know they're expensive and the only thing I see useful in it for a chameleon is one of the lamp domes. Unless you want to keep it and also get a gecko. OR! I just saw the coolest things at the pet store, they called...
I'm sure he wasn't trying he be rude, there is just SO much you need to fix and learn, and at first while everyone is throwing necessities and suggestions at you it can be very overwhelming. Once you have your start up costs covered though, maintenance is fairly easy. Julie made it a little...
