This is Ralph my male ( I think) Veiled chameleon. The female is called Phyllis :) I named them after my grandparents :o These were just quick shots really but I do like them :) I can see my new friends are going to photograph really well! They pose for me, they just get prettier if they're...

    Feeder worm care

Thanks guys :) Unfortunately my calci worms were infested with fruitfys. I suppose they do fruitflys in the same shop. I started seeing loads of them around my house and thought it was a bit odd this time of year!? lol They had killed all the worms. I do still have my mealworms and waxworms...

    Regular darkness

My female chameleon seems to be a dark colour very regularly compared to my male. I've had a pair (housed seperately) for about a week now and this is my first time keeping them, although I keep a lot of snakes and have done for years. From what I gather dark colours are generally an indicator...

    Feeder worm care

I've just taken delivery of some Calci worms, meal worms and Waxworms and I can't seem to find any information on thier care. I'm told I should fridge them because they'll last ages but then they'd not eat anything. Then again, I did hear that the Calci worms don't eat anything! Can someone...

    Gammy Chammy

Thanks :) Is it a bad thing to gently apply a little help? Oh and is there the same issue with the tail as there is with snakes? You need to be watchful of the very tip because if it doesn't come away it can cut off the blood supply eventually. Any things like that to watch for?

    Gammy Chammy

One of my Chameleons has been in shed for a few days and now looks like a bad wallpaper removal job. I can see that the skin has seperated and is hanging from her in places. Is that fairly normal? Do chameleons not make much of an effort to actually rub it off or otherwise remove it? Is there...

    Humidity

I keep and have kept various snake species that require modewrate and high humidity. My tank is not 90%. Not a chance! I don't trust those hygrometers at all as I say. The readings are changing drastically deoending on where I out them. That may be down to the fake leaves on the ground. I'll...

    Some of my snakes

I've got about thirty up there at the moment. I'll put some more pictures up later on tonight. :) I can't remember what my big Royal weighed. I stopped weighing her when it was obvious I'd never be able to breed her. Yeah BIG covers it though eh! lol

    Humidity

That was my point with screen cages. There's next to nothing to hold any humidity in because they're screened.... They do seem to be the main type of enclosure used though. I suppose it would depend on the type of screen. If you want more humidity held in there try an open container of water...

    Humidity

I tell you what I don't trust my digital hygrometers at all! They both show vastly different readings. 92% at the front, 70% at the back and 52% at the far side. All this in a two foot tank.......

Magic my big female Car[et python just before I relieved her of the eggs she's coiling here. She wasn't best please and I lost the whole clutch later on to mould. I've since adjusted the way I incubate. Got to learn somehow haven't you... I love this shot. My Malagassy again.... These...

This is Mrs Norman. She's tiny for a Coastal but I wouldn't tell her that if I were you.... This is Bogle (Bow gle) my Malagassy Hognose (No relation to Westerns at all) he's mean, he's crazy fast and just about the most photogenic snake I've ever owned. Aaaaaaw loook ! lol A little...

    Some of my snakes

This is my Coastal Carpet Python female Mrs Norman. It's next to impossible to capture her true beauty with a camera for some reason. She's a real looker! She's trouble too. Smells food but sees hands. I got a clutch of eleven out of her recently. I put her to my big Jungle Jaguar (75%) male and...

It'll take me a while to fill this thread with my snakes because I have a whole lot of them! Bear with me lol This is a really entertaining Western Hognose I kept from last year or the year before I forget. She open mouth strikes and her little display is really very effective! This was...
