Yeah, he is only 3 months old. I'm looking to get a 24x24x48 around 9 or so months. There is two feet of drain tray off the back of the table there (thinking ahead) Then this cage will be his outside/ect. cage, or........ next chams cage hehe :p
pic 4 was the cool air humidifier. It was on...
Thanks, have been messing with cage for all most 3 months now lol. There is NO smoking of any kind in the house ;) I got him from Kammerflage kreations (chameleonsonly.com) he is a ambilobe panther, from sire Masoandro-tigra.
Well has been a long wait but this wednesday i'm finally gonna get my panther cham :D Here are some pics of his cage (i think it's ready) let me know what you all think :D (sry if the pics are big)
I love it
Just got my ultimate system all set up. The system is awesome, simple setup, the quick connectors are so great and 100% no leaks!!! The mist is way finer than I ever thought it would be. Had a few questions I emailed Marty he got back to me same day. I would suggest adding a inline...
Thanks, planning on draining into lllrep stand and into bucket for now, and then plumbing it into the house. Then I don't need to worry about it overflowing or spilling it while going to empty (i know both would happen at least once over time i'm *skilled* like that :p ) and one less thing to...
Will have a Dripper going too, but if i have to work late here or there I don't want the lil guy to have no source of water. So i would say for both. I know actual gpm (gallons per minute) will depend on how the head is set, i was just wondering an average gpm. Will a five gallon bucket...
I'm with Paul, getting my Mist King Monday :D i'm just wondering on average running 3 x 5min a day, how much water is that gonna be off just 1 misting head? Thanks
ton of feeder info here https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/74-feeders.html and a BIG THANKS to sandrachameleon for all the info and taking the time to put it all together :D
I have heard of people baking things in the oven to kill parasites. I don't recall the temp and time but i'm sure someone will help ya out. Can't be too hot to kill those little buggers though 150F-200F would be a guess?? but i'm thinking it won't smell good lol:p
I had the same question little while ago, here https://www.chameleonforums.com/hanging-plants-36262/ are some of the ideas i got and picks of what i did. :) hope it helps
Most landscape supply yards will carry some very nice bulk soil (bed mix or something like that) and will let u get a 5 gallon bucket worth if u ask for prob a dollar or two if that. That is what i do, there are no chemical fert in bulk soil 99% of the time as it costs too much to add chem...

Link to mine. No cham in there yet though :/ still gotta wait another month or so for the lil guy to be ready. Getting excited for the day to come :D
I looked at Home Depot the Black square fencing looked nice but i thought the edges were very sharp. There is a Green fencing with octagon holes felt much nicer. It was in the back by all there chain link fencing stuff. Was called chicken fence or something like that.
hmm, wanted those to be able to take plant in and out for cleaning. I'll keep and eye out for something else, or move those to lower by the pot. Any other ideas on ways to make that removable without making it look like food?
Added another fluorescent hood with a plant tube in it and switched to a 60watt neodymium bulb for heat. Some more branches. Wondering if it's too much in there? Are the branches too close to the top of the cage? Thanks again. :)...
Yeah is probably not for everyone, but have heard of people on here needing to thin out colonies of different stuff. So for those this might be a option as they are already raising insects. For them the expenses should not be too high. Maybe just space concerns? idk just an idea :)
How is $2.90 per egg case expensive? and they produce 50-300 mantises each egg case. You just have to put em in a paper bag and wait. Not even close to $80 bucks. http://gardeningzone.com/product_info-Praying-Mantis-egg-case.html
