Hello everyone! This weekend my 12 year old son and I built a very lare outdoor enclosure and would like to start keeping the panthers outside now. This week it looks like we will have lows around 55 at night and highs around 75 during the day. Can we keep the chams outside the whole week in...
have you tried to bring them inside afer they are already asleep??? I have forgotten a few times that I left them outside and they were already asleep......usually mine are all docile, but when I have to wake them up, they FREAK OUT every time!!!! I have to wear huge gloves to get them inside...
Thanks for all the input! I have 3 panthers one make and two females. I cup feed sometimes, but would also like to throw some crix in there so I might go with the window screen.
Hello everyone! I am getting ready to build a large ( 8' tall 12' long 4' wide) enclosure. I am not sure what the best material would be for this??? I have built several smaller cages with window screen, but am not sure if maybe the hardware cloth might be a better choice? What are your thoughts...
Hello everyone! With spring right around the corner, I am starting the new outdoor cages. My problem is, I live in the Midwest and have big temperature swings. It can easily get up to 100 in the summer and drop to 50 two nights later. My question is, what is the max temp range they can handle...
Does the tightrope sway very much when he feeds from it? I have one that goes 15 feet across this huge enclosure and I had to tie it down like a REAL tightrope in several places because every time he shot his tongue, the rope would sway and he would end upisde down!
I use the closet method and usually have around a 9 month wait. This year has been a bit different tho. I live in KC and this past summer it was well into the 100's with super high humidity. My brand new AC couldn't keep up and the temps in my house were pushing 90 for about a week. The eggs in...
All of my panthers were spoken for before the doors opened today. I should have some ambanjas at the next show, maybe some ambilobes as well. Chris is an awesome guy, our booth was next to his.
How long have you had him?? Has it colored up at all that you have seen?? It looks a bit small for 5 months. Look in the classified section here and see the size others are at that age or younger. There are several that at three months are already colored up, that doesn't mean your will be the...
Can you tell us about your husbandry??? maybe fill out the ask for help form? It might be late in the game, but you never know!
I had almost the same thing happen once..... that hole looks awful!!! please let us know what the vet says!
It really depends on the age you sell them at. Something to keep in mind is that the people that buy your baby panthers will want to AT LEAST double their money on what they paid for them...and thats on the VERY low end, it will probably be they will want to come close to triple.
You can buy a ff trap from lowes or home depot. You can also google how to make your own trap at home. That's what I did using a funnel, jar, and some fruit.
