What is this dimmer thermostat u speak of can it be used with heating pads and if so how does it work? sounds like it would be great for raisin feeders and incubating.
most important uvb in tube form repti-sun best brand i believe. stay far away from compacts and all in one bulbs. a common house bulb for baskin works good watage depend on ur setup a little i use 40w in summer sometimes none on hot days.
i find computer fans work realy well dont leave it on 24/7 though they do get a breeze in the wild just not full time. watch temps with this cuz it can cool thing off quickly
keep your tank very clean that helps a tone with bad air.
how bout live plants they r a must for glass.
i have found...
couldnt a person cover all substrate with golf ball sized stones some nice smooth ones.
that way cham couldnt get to any of the ingestable sub. may cause problem with feces though not geting through to decompose.??
im no expert but i have read small areas are hard on cricks is ur storage container to small maybe not enough hiding areas.
also i noticed one time i change my gutload to have some prunes in it and that batch had some serious deaths in it. maybe somthin ur feedin them ?
just some ideas.
yes i think my humidity actually goes into the negative lol.
I would be concerned with the smoke enviroment even if in other rooms i would look into small portable air purifier for that room and keepdoor closed at all times. but i dont have exp there so maybe not an issue.
pin head cricks also be good to get. and i believe the temps are a bit lower for the babies than aults like the 80's that u said. watch close in that cage they dont get to hot.

sory dont know how to link it.
- for UVB lighting i currently have the compact top with a 5.0 reptiglo compact but im going to change this to a flourescent strip type due to reading many bad reviews on them causing eye problems etc.
Def make sure u change that. compacts r no good.
I also do very well with a glass tank...
sory just have a question not much of an answer. could u use vermiculite or perlite or that coconut fiber stuff. Or a combination of some to help with moisture retention
i agree if enclosure isnt high enough he will always be nervous but if he can get a good 7foot off ground make much happier i would think lots off cover up high especially
