Hello, My year old male panther started having an issue with his eye and I'm really concerned. I came home yesterday and Bagheera was crawling around his cage as normal when he turned around and showed me his left side. I was very alarmed when I saw his normally bulging eye was sunken and...
Go Figure....
I think sometimes when animals are taken out of their natural environment and the stresses of finding enough food and fighting for a female are absent, animals relax a little bit
Yeah these guys are idiots but if you listen to their voices they sound pretty British to me. Just dont want to give Hillbillys a bad name on account of this video ;)
Some people on this forum are great. When have you ever seen a chameleon try to eat when they are stressed? Never, thats when. Put the pitchforks down and get the boxers unbunched. Ive heard of funnier things but hurting his animals he was not. Dont make a habit of playing the "what will scare...
I agree, you cant "make" one more friendly, but there are some things you can do to increase the odds that he will one day calm down and get used to you. I have 2 panthers and 1 rudis, my first panther was 5 months old when I got him and was very scared of me and my wife for months. I over...
Ok well...Thanks to everyone who has made comments on this thread in a constructive way and helped me to come to a stronger opinion concerning the sex of my baby panther. As for Elizadolots-of-arguing, please go get a capri sun and relax. Quit chunking up my thread with contention please...
Ha I love that so many people are giving their opinions! It will be great to see in the next couple months what it turns out to be. I still think male but my wife insists female.
oh and Elizadolots, yes I plan on waiting quite some time before introducing them lol. I'm pretty sure my big boy...
pshhh- I plan on crossing them if this little one turns out to be a female. I know some have their hang ups about it but I wont get into that here, you do bring up a good point about the females not selling for much. I bought the little one from a pet shop in Vegas and after including the money...
Okay so we have 6 saying female and 4 saying male... hmmm. Im stil not sure either. I got her to be the girlfriend of my male. Heres a picture of him..
Ok so I just took some more pics of her. These pictures were just taken 5 minutes ago, about 4 weeks after the first pics i posted. So she is about 2 1/2 months old now. But see how the base of her tail is thicker than it was before?
Thanks for all the input guys. Tell me...
Hi I just bought a Nosy be Panther cham a month ago and I'm not sure if its a girl like I thought. She is about 6 weeks in these pics. Lately she has been flashing some blues and is lookin a little bulgey down there. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think!
Hi, wow he is a handsome little guy! I have a 9 month old male from the same breeder different sire. They do produce some great animals. One question though, on the first image it looks like part of his lip is bulging out? It looks sorta like mouth rot? maybe its nothing I just wanted to point...
Ha my Rudis does that, he'll wait by the door for a big finger to come around to climb on. My panther not so much, I can pick him up without to much of an issue but he isnt enthusiastic like that.
I heard that Montane species were more docile than others, do you guys think thats true?
I just wanted to know what everyones was opinion was on what species of chameleon is the "nicest" or most docile? Of course it will vary from each chameleon to the next but generally speaking what do you guys think? All species included?
I have one Rudis and one Panther and I would say that...
Hi everyone. I was wondering what the dangers are if the humidity is too low for a cham? I know shedding is an issue but is there anything else? Health, temperement, mood?
