Four days??? Give the animal time to settle, all you'll do is stress it & make it scared of you. Wait until it is comfortable in your presence & will feed in front of you. Then you can try offering food by hand. I have found using tongs first, then your fingers/hand. Also hold the food further...

I use exo's & cover the back & sides with either cork bark panels (expensive, but looks great) or coco panels. Not only does this stop reflection, but the animal can climb on them & you can grow plants up them too.
I would have thought it would be very stressful for them... even really tame ones. Most don't even appreciate direct spraying, with a fine spray. Let alone standing directly in water.
