I had both of my chams in my room...my Nosy be didnt give a hoot and went to sleep as soon as the lights went off...now my Ambilobe did care that a light went on but not so much the tv. I wouldn't worry about the tv at all stressing him out but try to keep the lights away as in any bed stand...
To be honest with you there are really no chams that are (easy) to take care of. They all require a proper setup, feeding, cleaning, misting, humidity...etc. Besides the veiled you have already the other ones would be of course the panther or say the pygmys...Brevs can be housed together (to a...

I got your email and everything looks and sounds great. Feel free to email me any further questions about him as they come. I can tell that he is in good hands with you and my Nosy Be went to good hands with Joe as well...I'm very happy over here!
I hope you enjoy him as his colors...

Your absolutely right on that remark to. I was charged 4ibs even though it weighed 1.5.
Needless to say USPS would work ok if you had a early mail delivery or at least by midday. Sometimes it will not arrive until later on in the day so thats something you have to contend with as...
The cham I just shipped out to Joe from Rochester NY to Simi Valley CA was about $70 with a $12 fuel charge on top of it. I have had no issues ever with UPS and as you can tell it arrived to him without a problem...yah its a ton but I think its worth it. In my case I was more worried about...

He should be 1yr right around August 1st...
When I added on the picture below I labeled him at 4.5mo old on 12/16/07 so that would put him right around Aug 1st. When I shipped him he was 104g and growing 2-4g a week. I am sure he will love the roaches but I am not sure about the...

It was be the socal weather down there but don't be surprised that he gains weight real quick...I told you I can see him easily over 150g if not pushing 200, especially if your feeding him all the goodies he can eat.
Oh and the other thing...he wouldnt touch a silkie or super from me...
Joe-
I received your email but for whatever reason I can not send out on my pda or I would have written you back.
Glad to know he arrived safely! Send over some pics of his setup when you get a chance...im sure with your pictures and presence on this forum I won't miss the guy at all...ok...

I don't know how worried I would be with her. I have seen my own chams during the day shut there eyes occasionally...generally its because there may not be enough light from the outside shining in and they have been up real early in the morning...chams just like any other creature would...

One heck of a story! I'm glad things are going well now. Nice to see your pcs back up as well. I'll get a hold of you tomorrow about the Nosy getting out to you. All is good and hopefully a few months down the line your going to have some great little ones crawling around!
Chams...the way they are built will take a tumble and be ok. I have seen my chams climb all around there enclosure and fall with a thud...they get right back up and climb around some more. You will be surprised as to what they are capable of doing. Imagine being way up high in a tree and...
Due to time restraints with moving I would like to have my Ambilobe sold this week...if possible.
I am willing to work with you on this animal so send me offers. Please do not send any crazy offers for the animal as I am looking to break even on what I spent on him...I would love to keep him...
Update....The Nosy Be is SOLD...TY!
I believe that $500 may be a tad bit high for my Ambilobe so I am now asking $450 for him which will include shipping.
My Ambilobe is still a very friendly cham as well from the Kammers..he just doesn't like my cocker spaniel:p. I have had no health...
Unfortunately do to family circumstances I need to rehome my 2 panther chameleons. My wife and I hard our first child and all of our attention has been focused on our newborn then anything else...as you can imagine you know what would come first. We are also moving into a new location in a few...
Phil,
I live up here in Rochester NY so its basically snow 5 months out of the year with temps getting down into the single digits at some pts during the winter. During the winter months I put a plastic cut out shower curtain around the back and 2 sides. The top is mesh of course as well as...
Ummm looks nice...I just dont see how practical it is though for a cham?
I mean its a nice setup minus the screen in the front (from the looks of it) and the other sides are completely closed up besides the 2 vents...what are you doing about airflow or misting and drainage? I would...
Ahhh let the fun begin on this one....I have always stated that you will need to handle your cham in one way or another. I also believe that its up to the cham if it wants to be handled or not. Its very easy to determine if thats the case or not by what reaction he/she gives you when you put...
