now he hates me i hope you are all happy.

You may have just saved his life! It was COLD last night ( I think it dipped below 50!)--He would have hated you even more if you left him outside. Your set up looks good-- Just make sure your heat light is emitting enough heat . Veileds like to bask in temps around 90 -- and is that the...

Wow!!!! Thats great! It gives me some hope. Around two months ago, my 18 month old Ambilobe escaped from his outdoor enclosure. My backyard is surrounded with 20 foot tall cedar hedges and some tall maple trees. I'm assuming he's found his way up to the top of one of the maples. The...

    Mt. Meru Jackson's Cham

Where I live, I think it would be easier to find Osama than a cb Jacksons - A local pet shop just had a wc ( even they are rare around here).--It sold for $240 (Canadian)--They are much easier to obtain in the US (and much cheaper!)

    Crickets keep dying

You might have better luck with your new (larger) container--Make sure they have ample room to hide. What is the temperature like where you store them? The heat can kill them.

Is this chameleon male or female?

I'd say it's a female. I just got my 4 month old veiled from a local petshop ( I ordered a male)--When 'he' arrived I noticed 'he' was clearly a she. I brought it to the managers attention and he said they don't guarantee sex. I explained how easy it is to sex a veiled--He didn't seem to...

    Stigmas associated with reptile enthusiasts

As a life long reptile enthusiast, I have to say i've been branded and labelled a few times because of my interest in all things that crawl--Mainly chameleons!! My sister-in-law has given the handle "bug geek" because of my frequent trips to pet shops to buy crickets, worms......Even though...

What is the best way to remove a chameleon from an enclosure?

My Panther was great, As soon as I opened his door he'd shuffle straight to the entrance--stand on the edge with his back feet---- and open up his 'hands' towards me until i gave him a hand to crawl onto. I tried to introduce a stick once, for him to crawl onto --he didn't like it at all...
