As far as care is concerned, A panther is a panther regardless of its locale. My personal favorite is the Nosy Faly. You really can't go wrong though --They can all display gorgeous colours. Do some research; check out the different colourations that each locale brings. Find a good breeder...
Nice! I'm sure he's happy. You (and Goonie) have come a long way since you were first introduced as the outdoor free ranger--sorry to bring it up again;)- I don't know how much more you can do for him---Unless you want to move to Yemen with him.
Crickets will not have a problem getting through 1/4 inch screen. Ive used 1/4 before on chams that were being cup fed--but i generally don't like cup feeding so i now go with aluminum window screening on top.
Of course, one of the most fascinating things about chameleons is the way they eat. We all love to watch our chams eat.--So yesterday I decided to pick up a few silkies as snacks for my veiled. I put one on a vine just a few inches away from her and I sat maybe 12 inches away watching the...
In late June our gorgeous Ambilobe escaped from his outdoor enclosure. I have a heavily treed backyard --I assume he's climbed to a high spot. We have been looking for him on a daily basis, with no luck. We have set up lights in some areas, hoping he will be attracted to the light/heat. The...
Thanks. I doubt it's dehydration. He seems to be drinking alot. Calcium issues or infection are a possibilty. He will be getting a check up shortly (next week)- I just got him last week and he's wc so I want to make sure everything is good.
I recently picked up a Mt Meru Jacksons(wc). His health seems to be fine. One thing i've noticed is when he eats, he rarely throws his tongue (Ive seen him throw it twice -successfully-) but for the most part, when he's hungry, he walks over to his prey and tries to grab it -like a dog-Many...
Nice set up. Even nicer Jacksons! What kind of plant is that? Ive always wanted a Jacksonii Jacksonii--Should be my next.
Just picked up a Mt Meru last week.
Yeah, he's great, He is my first w/c chameleon. Hopefully i'll have a 'sample' for my vet soon. He almost certainly is hosting parasites--given that he is a w/c specimen. Luckily my vet doesn't charge me. My wife does her hair!;)
My local petshop recently brought in two Jacksons. I decided to take one home with me- He is wc. I have a vacant enclosre ( 26" x 26" x 36") which he is now calling home. He didn't eat the first day but since then i've seen him eat and drink. He seems quite comfortable in his new...
