    What did u catch

As a kid I caught everything I could get my hands on. Including Bull frogs, Garter snakes, red bellied snakes (?) , and Jeffersons salamanders ( I think that's what they're called--black with light blue dots)--But the best catch ever???? A parrot!!! I was walking to school one day and...

    Breeding Veileds

LOL. This thread has swayed off topic a bit! Having said that. I'd love to see the Rangers win it all, and oh yeah, good luck with your veileds!

    injecting oxytocin - help

It sounds like what your cham needs is a new home--assuming it survives it's current condition.

    Chameleon's appetite

How old is he? Baby or sub-adult chams can have voracious appetites, but as they approach adulthood their appetites often decrease. I've had adults show no interest in food of any kind for days at a time. What are you treating him for, a burn or fungus?? And yes, frequent handling may be...

    New veiled!

Nice! There is something quite comical about baby veileds. Just the sight of them gives me a chuckle. I hope he's enjoying his new home.

Looking for a good male veild name??????

I've always thought "Lance Armstrong" would be a great name for a male veiled. Their casques sorta resemble cyclist helmets.

HELLO! new to here so thought i would introduce myself. and ask a Q too.

A few other issues. His enclosure may be a bit small. I keep my adult panthers in 24 x24x 48. Also, what are you doing for humidity/drinking. It sounds like you have some work ahead of you. Good luck, we'd hate to see your cham end up Insane in the Membrane.

    help!

Chameleons don't smell-. I think most keepers clean their chams enclosures about once every week. That said, Jacksons chameleons are generally not regarded as a "starter' chameleon. They require cooler temps and higher humidity, and from my experience , are quite often wild caught. A...

    R I P Carmello

I took down all the heat/light sources in my backyard today. Our cham escaped from his outdoor enclosure in late June. We clung on to hope that we would find him before the cold weather arrived, but the weather is now just too cold, at night it's just a few degrees above freezing. He was a...

    Where does the water go?

At the low end of your enclosure, install a drain (hole/spout). Underneath your enclosure, place a (plastic) trough for the excess water to collect into (I keep towels under my trough--just in case). Generally speaking, you're better off to avoid areas with hardwood, carpet. etc.. flooring.

New hockey season! Who wins the cup?? :p

They got rid of Kris Versteeg, Dustin Byflugien, Brent Sopel, Ben Eager, Andrew Ladd and maybe one or two more that I forget. They had to unload salary to keep their 'young guns'

    How automated is your set-up?

Do you have all your lighting, misting, dripping set up on timers or do it yourself. Currently, I don't have anything automated, not even lights. I turn them on and off at the same time daily, this gives me a chance to observe/inspect my chams and their enclosures. The same goes with...

New hockey season! Who wins the cup?? :p

You should check out a Coyotes game ( not quite sure how close you are to Phoenix--I think the arena is in Glendale). Tix are probably cheap there. To really appreciate the speed of the game, get some good seats up close to the action. Its a blast!

New hockey season! Who wins the cup?? :p

I think Toronto is already planning a parade!!! lol. They've had a strong start but will struggle to make the playoffs. Vancouver has the strongest team ( a slow start though) and I think they are the team to beat. L.A is strong, I wouldnt be surprised if they won it all. Chicago unloaded...

    Please Think Good Thoughts

Four years ago I was invlolved in an accident which left me with a broken hip, femur and tib/fib (all on my left side). Surgery was required. I'm pretty sure my surgeon had to make a quick run to Home Depot. My hip required four screws, my fibula required a steel plate and four screws and my...

    Taming?

Free ranging is a whole new ball game. Good luck if you go in that direction. Your chameleons behaviour is quite normal. Keep in mind, most chameleons generally don't respond well to regular handling. Sometimes even the colour of your clothing can cause your cham to react in an aggressive...
