i know of people who have used wood+glass enclosures over here for chammies and were loving it, i plan on building a mesh/part mesh enclosure in very near future (4-8 weeks time) it...
what substrate would you use ? the stuff im using is eco earth (made by zoo-med) they had it at the pet centre and the staff there used it personal for there veiled plus the ones they had in the store , its a 24x18x18 .....
it has full mesh at the top for ventilation and my day/night temp/humidity seem perfect so dont see why he/she will need full mesh also this is a temp enclosure as am making a larger one for it , i have made enclosure for my previous reptiles before so im a dab hand at it :)
the dish was for worms so they dont wiggle about every where ! i was also going to use it to catch the water from my dripper so the floor doesn't get to soaked !

i had two few years back very easy to please they used to have my whole room went in the viv at night and when they were cold and wanted food :)
they can be a bit temperamental i have scars from there whippy tales on my arms so strong and quick it can rip skin !!! and a few dig marks from...
pics of my set up need to get some more vines next door neighbor has a big bamboo plant which they said i can have some of it to use for the lil chammy to climb on :)

i have used usp for transport a laptop before didnt know they transported chameleons !!! wouldnt trust them tho as my laptop was smashed to bits ! and they told me sorry the insurance i paid for didnt cover it !!! WTF !!!

hi sorry for all the questions but i want to get this right, how do you keep your humidity up ? i set up my viv today and the temps seem good 82 in basking 78 mid 74 coldest point i found, but my humidity is rubbish 50% my monitor said so i sprayed the viv and it went to 88% for about 30mins now...
they have this in my pet centre looked at it today the member of staff said they were great if you had two enclosures next to each other due to lead length.
yeah thats the basking spot ! :) cheers just want to double check everything as i go to make sure i have a 100% complete and working order enclosure before i go and get my chammy :)
is 82.2 F ok for chammy ? it seems rather cold in my new enclosure, it has been setup and powered up for the last 30mins now i have got a digi temp gauge and its giving that reading ..... cheers :)
