Can I keep 2 males in this enclosure?
Its the 60 x 45 x 60 cm / 24" x 18" x 24" (WxDxH) from exoterra.
I ask this because I plan on adding 2 or 3 females if it's possible, and with only one male, I'm affraid I'll start to inbreed my chams, correct? 2 males would prevent that, right...
I think Rudis are probably the perfect cham IMHO.
They're relatively social (I like to see cham interacting with each other), have great colours, are small enough to not be difficult to house but big enough to interact if problems arise (meaning, it's almost impossible to put a pygmy through...
I'm usually bullied by a pygmy... :(
Just kidding! The little guy prefers to ignore me and pretend I don't exist. Everytime I try to interact, he just runs from me like I'm the devil or something! :o
Hi all!
I have a pygmy in a exoterra enclosure 45x60x60. Here it is:
And here's the little guy (not so little for a pygmy):
I heard some people say that a couple of days after releasing the crickets, if not eaten their nutritional value drops to near 0. Problem is I can't hand...
Don't Rudis need low temps (at least when compared with most chams)? I don't know if leaving them outside in LA will be good. But I'm no expert in Rudis... :)
Roni, we all want to help you and I think you also want to give the best to your cham, so let's try to work as a team.
Like it was stated before the reason why most people use natural plants in pygmy enclosures, is because they help to retain humidity while keeping a more natural environment...
Sorry but please put some real plants in there... I have a pygmy with some ficus and the plants do prettye well, besides they help with humidity.
If you're giving them veggies, you didn't do your research. I wonder what's your misting system and temp and humidity aswell...
Hi all,
Can we house a couple (male+female) of Jackson's together? With dense foliage, of course...
I've been investigating in the net and the opinions are rather divergent.
Thanks!
I'd be happy if mine would hand or cup feed. Just because of health issues. It's easier to control what he eats and I'd know he was receiving his dusted bugs... but with his free range hunting some of the dusting in the crix is probably off by the time he eats them!
Maybe I did a greater job in...
Thanks for the input... but apart of the verrucosus, I could not get any other cham mentioned here in Portugal. :D
Although the Bearded Dragon or the Uromastyx might be an idea... I'll look into that.
Hi all!
Long story short. I have an attic with lots of light and lots of space but with a few issues... low humidity and high temperature.
The low humidity can be fixed but the hight temperature (high 90, low 100) it's harder to deal with. In the winter it can be real cold, but then I could...
