Young cham eyes closed and dehydrated

Unrelated to your thread, but I live in Pottstown as well!! Do you go to the PetCo in Upland? I usually go to the Petsmart on 100 and saw a baby veiled I wanted to save from their awful husbandry but the Hubby wouldn't let me :(

    Spike's Having An Identity Crisis!!

Not at all! This is the first time I've ever seen him do this.... He's been one morph always. He instantaneously went back to normal when I pick him up.

Does anyone know the scientific reason behind this?!?!! That's just another thing that makes these creatures so bloody fascinating!! I mean really?!?! Can...

Over concerned Noobie Mom Thanks, everyone for the reassurance. I just see all these other chams with beefy arms and legs and I'm over here with string bean arms like "what the?"

    Truly amazing creatures

It's really incredible how amazing these creatures are. I've never seen a 'non-interesting' chameleon, bet's be honest, it's just not in their nature...

    Someone keeps skipping arm day!

Do you think it could be parasites? Could that be the reason why his arms are so skinny? He's drinking an eating like a champ... Only had one hunger strike, but that was put to a kibosh when he tried his first hornworm. Here's a pic of him not fired up.

Hey, jannb!! He's got a check-up at Matthew J. Ryan in Philly on the 21st so I'll definitely be bringing a lil present with me :)

    Someone keeps skipping arm day!

So my lil guy has a hearty appetite. He's fed a variety of feeders (supers, horns, silkies, crix, dubias just in this rotation) with well gutloaded bellies; however, his arms are sticks!! Should I be concerned or will he beef up as he gets older?! He just turned 7 months on the 25th.

You know you have a Chameleon if.....

...you have a separate account for just supplies and medical contingencies. ...your loved one says, "you love that thing more than me," and you get upset because they referenced them as a "thing". ...when at other people's houses, you give them tips on plant maintenance and/or repair...

    My chameleon might be sick!

FYI - Chameleons don't need night lights. They need to be in complete darkness at night or they may have disruptive sleep.

Shedding time (Should my chameleon be stressed)

Rubbing against things is completely normal :) She'll likely puff up and open her mouth more often as well, to loosen and stretch the old skin. They sometimes will loose their appetites as well, but that's all normal during shedding. As stated above, misting frequently with warm water will easy...
