you would want to change out your coil uvb bulb for a linear tube. The coil bulbs have been known to cause eye problems. Are you dusting with d3 every feeding? if so you should only use that twice a month, you will have to get a calcium supplement without vitamin d3. Do you also have a...
sweet looking cham! and congrats. You might want to raise the cage up a bit higher to make him feel a bit safer, just a suggestion but its not needed i dont think. Congrats on the mist king purchase! i wanna get me one of those too!
do you have any problem with them molding over? i dont provide my guys with a sponge or anything i just feed them stuff with lots of moisture, orange and lettuce, but will consider using a sponge if they dont mold over too fast and are effective
if you go and get the 24x24x48 cage you might consider sectioning it off to make it smaller for your cham so that he can find its food easier. Or you could cup feed from the get go and then you dont need to, your cham will learn where the food is. Or you can do both .
you must have the most active dubias ever haha, ive never seen my males even flutter their wings at all. But i do agree a lid should be used to prevent unwanted escapes. My tote has a lockable lid so it works awesome
a vet visit is definetly needed, and even if he knew it was a vitamin A problem he could just go out and get some vitamin A reptile supplements for the same price as regular vitamin A probably cheaper
omg i would freak out haha i can pick them up and stuff with my bare hands but if i lose hold of them for a bit and they start crawlin up my arm i freak out a bit haha i dont know what id do if i found one in bed with me
i love decorating cages but i never find myself happy with the outcome and always want to change it again haha. My cham is in there now so i dont want to stress her out and take her out and change the cage but im going to do it soon :P
you can go to the sponsors website and see if they have veilds available, the breeders also usually have pictures of the parents of the babies. From those pictures you can usually get a good indication of what your veiled will look like. Ofcourse genetics arent that predictable you can get...
Yeah a 10 gallon should be fine but the only thing is that i think your colony might overcrowd it fast, depending on how many you get. if you have a couple that would actually work out perfectly because you can sort out the ones you will be feeding to your cham and feed them the better food...
lol Sweet! you are going to love it, no more spending money on staple feeders as often haha. Ill share my set up, i dont have pics of it unfortunetly :( I just bought a big sterlite tote from walmart for like 10$ and then cut out the middle of the lid and used some left over screen i had from...
if you want a little dish or something you could always just take a tupperware container and just slice one of the sides off so you kind of have a dustpan thing going on so that you can put food in there and they can climb into it to get to the food so that you dont have to put it directly on...
