If you take a look on kammerflage creations one of the forums sponsors, they have a bunch of "cross breeds" which you can take a look at, they are awesome! I think about a year old for each is a good time for you to introduce them and see how it goes. Make sure you do all the research and...
i used black coated aluminum on my cage just make sure that you dont pull the screen too tight because its not very resiliant haha. It can start to tear so make sure u dont make it too tight
if your guys still arent eating i wold suggest putting in a couple of crickets to get them in the mood to hunt and hopefully they will find the roaches. my little girl knows her feeder cup, and whenever i take it out to put more dubias in shes always watching and waiting for me to put the cup...
yep perfectly normal. your cham seems well hydrated the urate is pure white :D if that white part starts to turn a bit orange your cham is a bit dehydrated
Id lower your temps to start, young chameleons and females too should have a basking spot around 80 degrees. What strength heat lamp are you using, i would either get a lower wattage, or raise the lamp up a bit.
Dont know about the lip sorry a picture would help alot
LOL you will definetly start getting little baby roaches once a female is full grown, ive had my colony for about a month and a half and ive just got new babies in the bin :D But my little indigo is a super fatty and eats all 10 i put in her feeder cup every day XD there go those new babies...
They are very addicting, its taking all my will power to not just charge it to my credit card and buy another one XD Gensen your chams are amazing btw im super jealous :P if you ever want to stud out your nosy be let me know ;) haha
i would guess that its a bluebar ambilobe, its not a sambava because it doesnt have their U-bar. But then again it could also be a cross as stated above.
Yeah i checked and they are both safe, The only umbrella plant i have is too big for the cage, these are the only 2 i have at the moment. I took some of the branches i pruned from my umbrella tree to see if i can get them to grow so that i can put them into the enclosure, same with my dying...
Im using a regular 40W household bulb as my heat lamp for my little nosy be. Id say use a household bulb even if it isnt too strong, just so your cham can warm up a bit and not be cold.
LOL dont worry glockcoma we have all been there :P. Im only 22 and have white hairs already :( And the chameleon isnt helping, i was super stressed out when i first got her. Less stressed though now. How old is your nosy be?
Hey guys ive finally gotten around to adding some real plants to Inidgo's enclosure comments and criticism always welcome :D The plants in there are Croton and Dracaena. Boy let me tell you guys, Indigo does not like being moved haha, but she did like the ficus i put her on while i was working...
definetly, ill be getting an LLL cage. I got this one as a package for my chameleon but the next cage ill get will be one of those :D cause its a little cheaper to get a cage in the states and have it shipped here instead of buying one here XD. If only i could get chameleons like that :P
I just bought a couple from the same place Mike got them from, just waiting on delivery though. If you are looking to get any other species other than Indian stick insects i have a PDF with alot of species and what they eat if anyone is interested in taking a look. As for the european seller...
