Puritania, I love all the orangish/yellow on his face. He looks cool.
SuperRad, you guy has some awesome variations on his gular region.
Good looking chameleons guys or girls not sure by screen names.:)
From various stories I have heard no chameleon has actually attempted to eat them yet. On the other hand if you chameleon does the taste will most likely ensure that it doesn't happen again. Chameleons tend to know, whether instinct or trail and error.
You might want to set it out in the sun. Assuming it is warm enough in your local area. Possibly just let it set it out for a little extra time after sealing it.
I guess the concern I would have is the fumes. Out in say a cool garage a lot of the fumes would disapate. The remainder would...
Congradulations!
Naming my jackson was easy, I simply named him Jackson. He was a little grumpy when I first got him. He bite me a couple of times. I knew an officer Jackson that was just as grumpy. I'm sure you could think of something more orignal then mine though.
I really love...
Veileds do have a couple of different types of orange trees that are native to thier area. I know of some people that have lime trees in their enclosures with no ill effects.
Them ingesting a small orange fruit could be a little bit of worry. I really have a hard time seeing a chameleon...
They are just stainless steel shelves.
These are very abundant in the restaraunt world. If you look online I am sure you can find a restaraunt supply place that will deliver to you. There maybe a second hand or liquidator of restaraunts near you that will have them for a very cheap price...
I always take some sort of juice. Whether it is grape, apple, orange...etc.. it makes no real differance. Then take an assortment of minces of fruits (primarily) and some veggies. Heat the juice, almost to a boil, add in mince ingredients. In a different container take 1/2 corn starch and...
I suppose that the casque in theory would play a role. A natural defensive position for a chameleon is slightly turned sideways with their body flattened. Even if two chameleons where some what even in body size the one with the larger casque would at first glance look bigger, perhaps more...
This is actually one of the problems with keeping plants soley in a chameleon's enclosure. The wind is what stimulates a plant to thicken their trunks and branches. Without wind there is little need for a plant to spend energy developing in these areas.
Many people who grow plants with...
Yucca don't really like moist soil all the time. You would find them natively around the deserts edge in the southwestern US and into mexico. Good placement so that the soil is not drenched all the time might help it out.
Perhaps you could PM Will Hayward. I think I remember him using the trash can method, for awhile. As to the specifics of what he was doing I really can not remember. I have heard of other people doing this as well. I myself use a similar method as the above two posters.
I am an executive chef. I am in the works of getting my own resteraunt open. A whole lot of BS involved in this. That is why I have not been as active on here over the past couple months.
Crickets and jumping. They are really not that good at it. This is really a list ditch effort for them to get away. They seemingly have no control as to where they are going to land. Another thing to remember is that in order for them to get a good high jump the have to travel outward from...
