you have to be very careful with youngins as well as adults.
usually as chameleons grow older they develop the sense to turn nose tip to the ground so that there "nostrils" are facing down and cannot be over run with water. Although this is a basic survival instinct, in captivity it is not...
i would guess that testosterone and estrongen come to play in the wild for many years that have heavily favored the most masculine chams.
i have yet to encounter males with unsually low testosterone, usually a nice territory sunshine and feeders are all a cham needs to fit the bill of a male...
the robin egg blue dots all over is a very telling indication, you'll never see a male with that many , males tend to have far less, and they tend to be concentrated within the stripes and certainly not that large

i'm such a jerk but there is no way in hell he is 3 months. I am very skilled at the art of chameleon age guessing, i should work at a carnival, he is beautiful but he is 4 months old quit playing :)

i imagine they couldn't be more than 25-50 miles away and with tides coming back inland, that makes an endurance swim more of a float. and chams are one of the most bouyant lizards and good...

from what i've heard, hops are not good for chameleons, at all, but i have heard of beer being used in plants and lawns and i don't know what it is other than the broken down organic matter and gases that would be beneficial
